Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
2 Weight Watchers whole wheat bread or other bread of your choice
1 3 cm cube (1 cube = 30 g) OKA cheese or other cheese of your choice
2 tbsp (2 tbsp = 30 ml) tomato and basil sauce
1/4 cup (1/4 cup = 2 large mushrooms) sliced ​​mushrooms
1/2 small (1/2 small = 40 g) onion
5 manzanilla green olives
to taste canola oil

This pizza grilled cheese recipe is the perfect mix and match! This idea came out of nowhere and I’m delighted by the result! Good looking, tasty, easy, cheap, nutritious and vegetarian! It’s the perfect lunch or weekday supper.

My yummy and healthy version

I suggest a very reasonable version since I use Weight Watchers whole wheat bread and canola oil as a spray to limit the amount of oil required to sauté the vegetables and toast the bread. It’s up to you to vary the approach as you please!

Done

Clean the mushrooms and peel the onion. Slice them finely.

On a hot plate or in a frying pan, caramelize the onions and sauté the mushrooms in a little vegetable oil.

Spread tomato and basil sauce or pizza sauce over bread slices.

Slice thin pieces of OKA cheese or other local cheese. Place on one of the two slices, on top of the sauce, to cover.

Add the grilled mushroom and caramelized onions.

Slice the olives and place them on top.

Cover with the second slice of bread. Spray a drizzle of oil on your cooking surface and grill the sandwich for about 2 minutes on each side. Use butter if desired. The bread must be golden.
