A high-protein dessert that is yummy and healthy? Yes! This coffee pot can be served in a small ramekin as one would serve a mousse or used as a spread on toasts or pancakes. Indeed, it is made from sesame butter (Tahini), which makes it very nutritious!
The seed or nut butter is consistent and satisfying, so a small amount is enough. The recipe gives two servings of just under a quarter cup each (hence the name “small pot”)!
Tiny but Glorious
In 1 small jar of just under 1/4 cup:
- 7 g protein
- 12% of the daily iron intake
- 18 g good fats
Steps
1
Done
|
Make coffee. An espresso will taste more pronounced, but a filter coffee will do. It will take 1/4 cup. |
2

|
Mix all the ingredients together. Maple flakes can be replaced with maple sugar, coconut sugar or other dry sweeteners (maple syrup is not recommended as it would add liquid to the preparation). Agar agar can be replaced with gelatin. |
3
Done
|
Mix everything together. Reheat in the microwave for 1 minute to activate the agar agar. Stir again before spreading to two small pots. |
4

|
Leave to cool on the counter and refrigerate for 2 hours so that the mixture freezes. |
